hello people!

i'm sure you all had a great time at the RJC match yesterday. there were certainly many lessons we have learnt from the match.

firstly, i would like to praise the girls team for their brillant effort put into the match yesterday. the girls team really performed way beyond expectations even though we lost to them 6-3. haha. and not to forget the 3 players who scored the goals were stella, jing xuan and wen lin. but then again, without the entire team the goals would have not been possible. at the start, it seemed that the RJC girls had a headstart above us when they were doing their drills, but the sheer determination of the girls team not to give up so easily was what drove them so much. that is one thing we guys can also learn. you all didn't give up and continue to run and run and run. special mention goes to jessica the girl's keeper who did a good job despite it being one of her first few times as a goalie.

secondly, i'm proud of the guys team too and i felt that we really went all out and not gave up despite trailing 3-1 at the start. in the end, we drew 6-6 as the away team. initially, we had doubts about the game with RJC after hearing news that RJC had won NJC 17-0 in a friendly match the earlier week. in addition, they had a really skillful team which did their drills with much ease. but, that was not enough to stop us. i guess the month-long physical training has come to good use as we had better fitness compared to them. and i honestly think that most of us have improved by leaps and bounds since the previous friendly match! we're running much more, marking our men, blocking shots etc.

In addition, guys, i think we really did ourselves and the school proud when we chose not to bring ourselves down to the way they play floorball. i know many of you were unhappy with the way they played the game, but the main thing was that we played the game fair and did our part by being gentlemen. that was something we all did well in. in a game, sportsmanship is more important than winning or losing. we have really progressed quite far as a team!

and with 1month left to our competition, let us all peservere and train hard to improve ourselves so that we may do our school proud in july and make a name for floorball in vj! keep it up team! :)
