The A Division floorballers will be having an outing to Sentosa on Tuesday, 020609. Meet at Harbourfront MRT at 1030. All who are unable to make it for whatever reason are to contact Rachel or Amos.

Attention all floorballers!!

We will stop training until at least after the midyear exams and common tests. There will be NO TRAINING during the June holidays.

Please also do not go to Valhall (or anywhere else) on your own for training as it has also come to the college's attention that some of you have been playing/training at Valhall without teachers' approval/supervision. A few parents have complained.

The college takes a strong stand about this for your academic interest and personal safety.
Should the college hear more complaints from parents, VJFB will have to face the consequences. (i.e. no more support from college - you know what I mean)

Students who fail to meet the passing/promotion/university points criteria (or any benchmarks they have to meet as scholars etc) for their academic subjects will take no part in future training.

Have a good break, study hard and stay out of trouble.

I understand that the IPs and the JC1s are all eager to start training again.
I'm sorry and understand that many of you felt neglected over the last month or so,
but may I request for a short break for Mr Chow, myself and PE dept also?
The sports season has just ended. It has been a long season for all of us.
May I ask for some time for the teachers to rest, catch up with our other work before we start to organise (new EXCO?), think (DSAs?), plan (new budget?) and work on the plan for next year?

I will try to arrange twice-weekly sessions during the June break.
Will keep you guys posted on the schedule.

I hate to spoil the mood, but I have to do this. Take your NAPFA test during your allocated PE slots by Friday, 290509. If you have PE this Tuesday (260509), I suggest you look for Mr Tan Yew Hwee to figure out a solution, in view of the exchange in timetable between Tuesday and Friday.

Good evening. Here are the results of the games played on Wednesday, 20th May 2009.

Floorball girls played against MJC and lost 3-4. They clinched overall runner-up.

Floorball boys beat MJC 6-4 and clinched the championship trophy.

Congratulations to both teams.

To quote Mr Muhammad Miryanto bin Amir in an online interview, he would like to "send (his) congratulatory note to both teams", adding that he is "really proud of having a TEAM [in upper case letters]". Responding to a request to leave a note on the tagboard, he admitted that he is "too happy to say anything" to us, and reiterated that he is "really really proud of (us) all".

You were built to be the best, number one and nothing less. (:

Dear all,

It was not long ago when I 'challenged' the teams to fill the gaps left by your seniors who graduated last year. I remember telling you that your seniors were such a great batch that I don't think any future batches will be able to match them, that if your seniors can't qualify for the finals, you guys will have difficulty even making it to the Top 4.

This batch has amazed me with your progress since last November. First of all, I was really delighted by the cross-country results, many of you, if not all, have worked your lungs and hearts out at all the training sessions we have had, attaining high level of fitness. Commitment to training has been awesone too, regardless if its 8pm, 9pm or 10pm, Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays, you have time and again continued to impress me with your positive attitude.

We have come so far in this competition, topping our groups, winning our respective semi-final matches and here we are: tomorrow will be the finals!

Let it be a day for everyone of you to cherish for you made it there together as a team.
Let it be a day for everyone of you to remember for it will be where you fight a final battle together
Let it be a day for everyone of you to celebrate for nobody is going to take credit away from you.
Let it be a day when everybody gives their best for VJFB.

Here is the result of the game played on Wednesday, 13 May 2009. Floorball girls beat YJC 8-2 and are through to the finals. Congratulations girls.

Guys' team players are dismissed at 1025 on Thursday, 140509. Team bus leaves at 1130. Face-off at 1400. Return bus is at 1630, just like today.

Gentlemen, we have an opportunity to make history tomorrow. So, shall we? Never forget what we went through to earn this.

Supporters, please don't run off immediately after the match and leave an empty return bus for us to settle, unless you absolutely have to. Also, for goodness' sake, please cheer according to the number of people present. You didn't sign up to go just to watch floorball, did you? (: come on, cheer for your school!

To all players: please be punctual for school and all lessons and hand in your homework and not get into trouble with your tutors or a male individual with a bright yellow t-shirt and bright yellow adidas shoes who has the most common last name in our country will be breathing down our necks (unless you fancy that). There will be no training on Saturday, 090509. There will be a session in school on Monday afternoon but the timing is unconfirmed. Watch this space in the next 24 hours.

Here is the result of the game played on Friday, 8th May 2009. Floorball girls beat TJC 7-1. They have qualified for the semi-finals, which will be held on Wednesday, 130509. Well done girls.

All J1, J2 and IPs are to confirm their attendance for Tuesday's match with Daniel and Mel Phang, AMos and Therese and Annabel respectively, by SUNDAY, 1800h. This is to facilitate the administration matters like obtaining official leave from lessons and booking of buses.
